Global Head at Facebook Caught trying to *Meet 13 year old
A sting operation allegedly finds a Facebook head engaged in disturbing activity.
Jeren Miles (36), head of global community development for Facebook/Meta has been recorded allegedly trying to meet with a 13 year old boy in a hotel. A YouTube channel named PCI Predator Catchers Indianapolis streamed and uploaded a confrontation with Jeren on Feb. 16. The 2 hour long video shows group from the PCI come face to face with the alleged abuser in his hotel room. The PCI group came prepared with printouts of all the chat-logs between the adult and child.
A woman from the group begins by questioning Jeren. She read off messages that Jeren allegedly sent to who he believed to be a 13 year old minor. After a few messages back and forth, he asked the child’s age. The woman questioning him then read off a message where he said “You’re cute,” to the boy. PCI asked whether he thinks 13-year-olds are cute. Jeren denied this while avoiding eye contact. He and the child continued to have many small conversations over Facebook messenger.
As the PCI woman continued to read the chat-logs, the conversation became darker and darker. Jeren began to mix in flirtatious words such as *baby and *cutie. This escalates until he messaged “I’m for exploring things whenever you feel ready.” The child messaged back that he was interested. Jeren replied “Haha I’m always horny… I love naked cuddles… with you pressed against me.” Another alleged message read “I won’t have any restraint around you if I’m horny.” The sexual talks continued between the two over multiple conversations and weeks.
After a failed attempt to meet up, Jeren allegedly attempted to plan another with the child. He sent a message with his hotel’s address and room number. Despite this, Jeren denied any intent to meet up with the child. Then, the woman called an individual that had claimed to have been abused by Jeren. PCI gave the victim a chance to confront his past abuser if he chose. The individual wanted to and recounted multiple times that Jeren had done horrible things to him.
However, due to the nature of YouTube investigations, it is likely that Jeren Miles will not be prosecuted. The police will unlikely be able to use the alleged evidence PCI collected. As of Feb. 17, all of Jeren’s social media accounts have been deleted.
